Ryan is currently a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a first degree belt in Judo. He is the owner and head instructor at Performance Martial Arts Academy in Roseburg as well as the co-owner of Performance Martial Arts Academy in Springfield, Oregon where he is the head youth instructor. Starting in 2020 Ryan became the “Workplace Violence Prevention” instructor at Mercy Hospital in Roseburg. He is also an approved instructor through A.C.E, Baker and Fossil Charter Schools.

Aside from BJJ and Judo, Ryan also has a background in wrestling where he spent several years coaching high school and middle school teams after graduation. Ryan has been coaching, teaching and competing for more than 20 years.
